In the first edition of Fashion Rio, Jóia Carioca showed to the specializes press the
work of jewelers and craftsmen established in Rio de Janeiro.
The priority given to creativity, uniqueness and design was the formula for its success.
In its following edition it became Jóia Brasil, with the official seal of Fashio Rio and the support
of Apex, IBGM - Brazilian Gemology Institute and AJORIO (Jeweler's Association of Rio de Janeiro).
The third edition confirmed the power of design, bringing to Jóia Brasil internationally acclaimed brands,
companies and artists. Anglogold presented its creation in gold of 42 important Brazilian designers. Juarez Machado,
for example, created 20 woks specially for the event. Nuance created moulages in jewelry fabrics. IBGM and AJORIO released
their publication Jewelry Trends 2004.
