The Brazil Foundation Gala happened at Cipriani on September 10th, in New York. The event raised 400 thousand dollars that will finance various projects of education, health, human rights, citizenship and culture in Brazil in the year of 2009.
The Gala had the special contribution of Joia Brasil, who promotes brazilian jewelry all over the world. The jewels were donated by ten designers: Barbara Herrmann, Fernanda Lynch, Francisca Bastos, Kamille Bernard, Andrea Chorovsky, Kristhel Byancco, Eda and Nina Olendzki, Lucia Lima, Odara, and Carlos Rodeiro.
The Marisa Perry Galery commercializes their work until the end of the year.
Oded Grajew, the founder of Ethos Institute of Social Responsibility and Abrinq Foundation for children rights, was honored by the gala. Bruna Lombardi and Carlos Riccelli were the hosts.
Between the 450 invited were the actress Cristiane Torloni, the Brazilian counsil's wife Maria Graça Lima, Embassador Lucio Pires de Amorim, Jack Vartanian jeweller and his girlfriend Cássia Ávila, Sandra Kogut, director, the ex CEO of Central Bank, Paulo Vieira da Cunha, Bela Gil, Bete and Marcos Arbaitman, Marjorie Andrade, and Fabiana Saba. DJ Ze Pedro made an especial performance.
