With 66 shops troughout Canada and the USA, Birks is one of the biggest jewelries in the world. In 2004 Birks has celebrated its 125th anniversary with the exhibition Jóia Brasil at Birks, gathering works of 15 Brazilian designers.
Lauching: May 3 — cocktail at Birks with models wearing the jewels of the exhibition and presentation of the Queen of the Ball, who wore jewels specially designed for the event by Kamille Bernard.
The Brazilian Carnival Ball is the world´s fourth largest charity ball and has been taking place for 38 years, gathering millions of dollars for entities involved in health research, education and social work.
Brazilian Ball: May 8 — At the opening of the Ball there was a cocktail with Brazilian models wearing Nuance fabrics fashioned by Casa da Noca and sandals with Brazilian gems by Francesca Romana. There was an auction with some jewels of the Joia Brasil exhibition closing the ball.
